Chandler stood outside his cabin watching campers run by, that's when he pulled out his binoculars, he looked towards Demeter's cabin to see if he could find any of Demeter's daughters. When his search came up dry, he put his binoculars away, and set to twisting grape vines into a statue base, that's when he started on the legs of the statue. "If I want this to be good, I have to do this right." He carefully twisted each vine to form legs, he worked his way up until he was finished with it's lower half. He stood back, examined it, and ran inside, right to his bunk and grabbed a bottle of water. He back ran outside, sat down in front of the cabin. "Hmm..." he said to himself "I wonder if anyone noticed me doing this."

Aravind Sarin had been laying back on her bunk for hours, staring up into the branches of a myrrh tree. It was too young for sap to be a problem, so she simply enjoyed the faint scent of the leaves. Vine smiled, cocking her head to one side. She laughed at a small rustle of the leaves, some great joke passing between them.
She sighed, and with a quiet "goodbye", Aravind left the cool shade of her cabin to sit on the dusty step outside it. The young woman didn't notice anybody around her, especially nobody (*hint*) sitting outside another cabin a few down.

Aravind felt a pull in her stomach- nature magic was being used. She scanned the fields, in which no one stood. Glancing up and down the rows of cabins, she saw a boy eating strawberries outside one... and she stood. Drawn to the magic and intoxicating smell, Vine sat down beside the boy, not speaking just yet, but smiling anyway.

"My name is Aravind... but you can call me Vine, if you want." She sighed and stretched her hands to the sun, smiling. Then she turned to him, still aglow. "It's a pleasure to meet you, Chandler, son of our own camp director."

She peered to Chandler's other side, and noticed a small vine statuette bottom. Her eyes lit up with amusement, and Vine looked at it with much curiosity. "It's coming along rather well, yes..." The girl glanced at the demigod beside her, and continued absentmindedly, "Who is it going to be?"

"My dad, I figured that I'd show off my artistic abilities and make a statue of him. It will look alot better when it's finished" he explained, "Hey care for a strawberry?" he plucked the biggest strawberry he could find off the vine and handed it to her "Compliments of cabin 12!" he smiled

The demigod smiled at the boy, thoughtful as he was, and took it gladly. She smiled, and began to daintily nibble on it, savoring the sweet juice. "Thank you, thanks so much~!" Aravind snuck another look at the statuette of vines. "He will be proud, you know. It's not every day that your father receives a statue dedicated to himself... It's just these modern times."

Chandler smiled. "My dad's going to love this. Say are you a senior councelor like me?" he asked her "It's just...I want to know. And if you ask why, it's because I think I'm taking a liking to you Vine."

She glanced at him, but turned her attention to fixing the straps of her gladiator sandals. Whispering, she said, "You know, I'm not sure." Vine looked at the boy square in the face and continued- "It's either me or Ren, or both. During the summer, it's him, but it's me the rest of the time, I think." She toyed with the straps of her sandals once more, distractedly asking, "How... old are you, Chandler?"

"I'm 14, I'll be 15 in March. Hey, what kind of weapon do you have?" he asked "Because here's mine!" From a thigh scabbard Chandler drew his dao sword, the amethyst embedded in the butt of the handle caught the light and reflected it, but a tinge of purple

Aravind stared at the blade, entranced by the amethyst gem and hue it radiated. She smiled serenely, standing to face the son of wine. Producing a simple wooden paintbrush from her pocket, she said, "I am sixteen, and as my birthright, I carry the staff of lotuses." She spun the paintbrush once on her left ring finger, and it grew- a five foot staff of fine wood. It was topped with a living lotus flower that provided her with guidance, and vines encircled the grip. Smirking, she performed some quick hand movements, then sat beside the boy again. The staff shrunk down once more to a paintbrush. "So..." the demigoddess asked slyly, "What do you think?"

Chandler's jaw dropped. "Oh my gods, that is cool. Although I think I'll stick to my sword in combat. And one of my favorite abilities I know was something my dad taught me shortly after I arrived
