Alarik sighed as he walked through the town. He was very bored today, and had just come from visiting his new home. The Apollo demigod's house was at the very end of the lane, and his being 19 meant he had to live here instead of in the camp now. It was a fairly nice house, but more on that later.
The air was warm yet comfortable as the red-head strolled down the street. He stopped momentarily to watch two butterflies flutter by, before continuing on his way. Alarik soon came to a stop outside of the coffee shop on this street. He shrugged and went inside for something to drink. The son of Apollo came back out with a lemon iced tea and sat on one of the cafe's chairs outside. The outdoor decor of the cafe is set up so that there are 3 chairs to a table and there are 3 small tables, so 9 chairs in all. Alarik looked around and saw he was the only one sitting outside the cafe. He crossed his legs and took a long sip of his iced tea.

Lucas had found that Athens 2.0 was a strange place to shadow travel to, you didn't always end up in the right part of the city, he had been shooting for his home on Hades but stepped out by a line of shops. His travel had wiped him out and he was near a coffee house so he started towards it, ignoring his discomfort at being visible in the open. As he did he eyed up the guy sitting outside, subconsciously crossing his arms.

Alarik suddenly noticed a man coming towards the coffee shop. Strange, he could have sworn no one had been there a second ago. The red-head took a long sip from his cup of iced tea, lifting it just enough so he could still see over the top of the glass. The child of Apollo watched, ever interested, at the odd man crossing his arms. Absently, Alarik toyed with the thought of perhaps greeting the other man, but noticing the guarded feeling and way this man carried himself, the son of Apollo thought it best he just keep quiet. Well, mostly quiet....He started up a soft and simple song that seemed to come from no where and everywhere at once.

(I cant log in from CTEC so this wont have my account attached to it)
Walking towards the shop Lucas heard the notes of a song that seemed to come from the very air itself, it made his mind start to wander to the dark parts of the past and he had to shake his head to bring himself back to reality. He attempted to reach for the cafe door as quickly as possible to get out of the song's intoxicating grasp.

Alarik studied the other man's reaction, watching him like a hawk. The red-head waited until the other was at the door to the cafe before finally giving into his temptations and saying something. "Hello, who are you, if you don't mind my asking?" He asked in a calm tone loud enough for Lucas to hear, as the music died down a bit.

(can you either accept or make me fix his companion before continuing please? ) Lucas cringed when he heard the man speak, realizing that the music was from him. He glanced around nervously before replying, "Lucas, you?" After he spoke he immediately looked for escape routes.

Vincent had just finished picking up a new pair of Converse from the Athens 2.0 Post Office. They were custom, of course, with his zodiac symbol (Aquarius) gracing the comfortable canvas of the shoes. He was on his way, box under his arm, to Apollo Lane for an iced chai. Extra splenda. As he turned onto the lane and approached his destination, the young man suddenly stopped short. It was that man. That fiendish man with bright eyes and auburn hair- Alarik Jakob Judas Beck. And there was another man with him.
"Y-you..." The box dropped, the beautiful new shoes spilling out onto the cobblestones. He was lost for words at the seemingly nonchalant way the man sipped his tea. Hitting on Aravind was a personal effrontery. Cen would NOT forgive him for such a thing. He could NOT be won over by that smirk... could he? He wasn't... wasn't... Vincent shook his head, violently pushing the thought away. Dropping to his knees, he began to put the shoes away, muttering, "Why are you here...? Why did you have to come into my life, to torture me? And who's the other guy...?"
Vincent glanced up at them. The stranger was pale, deathly pale... and guarded. He was searching for an escape, to which Vincent agreed. The son of Aphrodite was going to be his ally, should Alarik try anything... unpleasant. However, there was something about the strange man that Cen was put off by... It was something Macavity did when they first met. That's who he was reminded of. Maybe it was the darkness of his hair and eyes. Maybe it was the stance, arms crossed, eyes darting about like a hunted creature. Any way it was, these two men before him were not to be trusted.

As Lucas looked around frantically he caught movement in the corner of his eye. Someone further down the road had dropped a package and was busily cleaning it up. He hoped the musical man got distracted before he could cause any trouble, Telcrath still hadn't shown up, it was probably searching the city's shadows for him after Lucas exited at the wrong place.

"Alarik." The red-head answered, watching as Lucas looked for an escape. "That's a nice name, Lucas." He stated, a smile on his lips.
The son of Apollo took another sip of his tea, put down the cup, and took out a cigarette. He quickly lighted it and took a short drag before noticing Vincent had suddenly arrived. When the blond man started asking questions, Alarik grinned, and removed the cigarette from his mouth before answering.
"Well, I am here because I thought it would be nice to stop in for an iced tea after I just visited my new house here in the city. Anyway, I haven't just come here for the sole purpose of entering your life or ruining it, or whatever. I came here because I can. I came here, because Damien was here, and I do so love 'toying' with the boy. I came here to be myself. And as for 'the other guy', his name is Lucas." Alarik responded, gesturing towards Lucas at the end of his explanations. He then proceeded to take yet another sip from his iced tea.

Lucas was surprised that the two random strangers knew each other, "Wait, who is he? and what was that music about?"

Alarik put down his glass of iced tea again, looked back at Lucas, and smiled warmly. "Well, Lucas, this is my dear friend, Vincent. And as for the music, well, that was my fault. Apollo is my father, and Euterpe is my grandmother. Euterpe is the muse of music and lyrical poetry. Combined, i seem to have acquired a power to control sounds and vibrations, allowing me to create music seemingly from thin air." The red-head explained, the smile not once leaving his lips.

Vincent scowled. "Those were rhetorical questions, Alarik," he spat. "And your 'dear friend'? What is this Minotaur sh-" Vincent broke off, looking between the two men before him. He finished re-packing his shoes solemnly, coming closer to the table and door when he had finished. With a glare, Cen prepared his attempt to charm-speak.
"Leave me alone, Alarik. And leave Lucas out of this business you have with that lollygagging Erebus kid and his boyfriend..." He glanced at Lucas, as if to say, 'watch what you say and do around this man'. Moving around the edgy newcomer, the son of Aphrodite reached toward the door handle with impatience

Alarik felt the effects of Vincent's charm-speak, and fell silent for a small amount of time, thinking it best he leave Cen and Lucas alone. Shortly after The child of Aphrodite ceased talking though, The red-head started to process what had been said to him, and scowled. "Who said anything about me including Lucas, or anyone else for that matter, in my 'business' with Damien and that little wretch who thinks he can steel my property?" The son of Apollo stood abruptly, and started for the sidewalk. "But, very well then, I can tell I am unwanted here. Thought this was a 'free' country, but I guess not. I'll just pay a visit to the lovely Lady Aravind. She seems to like my company just fine." He said as he walked away. Alarik then walked in the direction of the camp.

Lucas' eyes flared when the red-head mentioned his father's name, his fist shook with rage at Apollo. He could never forgive the god for killing his mother, but he could not fight while weak from shadow traveling. He could so nothing but glare angrily after him, from the corner of his vision he saw Telcrath emerge from beside a shop across the street. Amazing timing.

"You... you... son of a half-troll, rat-eating munge bucket!" Vincent clapped the side of his face, scratching at it until he felt the tips of his fingernails hit blood. He glanced over at the young man beside him. "Ugh... Sorry you had to see that. He's such a... Such a..."
He stopped in his tracks, watching the receding back with undisguised hatred, and only then did Cen notice Lucas's fists. The son of Aphrodite looked at him curiously. "H-hey... Lucas? D'you want a coffee? They're pretty good here." He hoped that an ally could be gained here, but Vincent's hopes were temporarily dashed after the encounter with Alarik. That man...
