Kaira had been training all morning, and now that it was well past noon, she sat down on the side of the arena to take a little break. Her face was red and a few beads of sweat dripped off her face. she reached into her backpack and pulled out a canteen filled with water as well as a towel. She poured some water into the towel before wiping off her face and hanging the towel around her neck. Kaira then took a long drink of water from the canteen.
Judging from where the sun was in the sky, Kaira guessed it was about 4:00.

Lance walked into the arena after he'd completed his workout routine. On his back was Astaroth, his celestial bronze longsword. he drew his blade, faced a dummy and began attacking it, not noticing Kaira at all

Kaira watched Lance for a little while, before going back to what she was doing before. She pulled out a granola bar from her backpack, and unwrapped part of it before taking a few bites. The Athena camper looked back over at Lance to watch him train again and looked away after a few minutes.

Lance demolisehed two dummies then went over to where he laid his drawstring bag, his beater was stained with sweat, he laid astaroth on the floor, took off the cross belt that held his sword scabbard in place, then pulled off his red beater. he dug in his bag and pulled out a black t-shirt, and then put it on before slipping his gear over his back. He sat down on a bench and looked at the tattoo on his left bicep, "This tat is my good luck charm, I'm glad I got it, it's brought me only good luck so far. I hope it stays that way." he said quietly to himself, before looking up and noticing Kaira "Hey," he said "what brings you here?"

Kaira looked back up at Lance and answered, "Well, i was training all morning. right now i'm just taking a break. 'd guess you came here to train a bit too?"

"Hey, a son of Ares has to be on top of game." he picked up his blade, "Astaroth and I make a great team." Then revealing his tattoo once again, "And this tattoo is my good luck charm, I've had it for a year now, and I love it!"

"Someone's a bit full of himself." Kaira muttered. "Why is that tatto your good luck charm? Where did you get it?" She asked.

"I got the tat my sophomore year of school from a local tattoo artist, the day after I got it I scored a game winning 3-pointer for basketball" he explained "My friends said, Dude that Dallas Mavericks tattoo of your is lucky, We beat De Smet by your 3-point buzzer beater. Whatever you do, do not get it removed." he told her he held out his left arm for Kaira to examine the tattoo for herself.

Kaira took a closer look at the tattoo. She herself had wanted a tattoo for a long time but had yet to finaly go get one done. Besides, she wasn't quite sure what she would want as a design. "Cool. Did getting the tattoo her alot?" She asked, now looking away from the tat and back at Lance's eyes. Kaira preferred to look others in the eye when she talked to them.

Lance looked at the girl in front of him. "Tattoos are art, and art is sometimes painful. Getting a tattoo is painful to some and to others it just stings a bit." he pulled his arm away and then said "By the way, I'm Lance Carver."

Kaira huffed indignantly, and stated, "I know tattoos are art, why else would they call people who give tattoos 'Tattoo Artists'?" She then added to her previous statement, "And what i meant was did it hurt a lot to get the tattoo done on your bicep. As in, on a scale of 1 to 10. Anyway, I'm Kaira Ninomiya, daughter of Athena." Kaira held out her water canteen to Lance. "Water?" She offered.

"No thanks, I have my own." Lance went over to his drawstring bag, pulled out a red metal water bottle, opened and took a swig. "Anyway, on a scale of 1-10 for the tattoo. I'd say it was a 4."

"Oh, ok then." Kaira answered, taking another sip of her water. She put the cap back on thew water canteen and placed it into her backpack. she picked up her katana and walked over to the training dummies to continue practicing.
