Alex dug through his special med pack (a 17th birthday gift from his dad) he rummaged around until he found an inhaler. Satisfied with his find he held it out "Need somehthing like this?" he asked

Jack glanced up at him, and nodded, gratefully taking the inhaler and pressing down on the top. A blast of cold air was suddenly sent into his lungs and he gasped, taking deep breaths. "Thanks, man. I owe ya one!"

"Glad I was able to help out man." Alex closed his medicine bag and slid it into his leather armor before pulling out his leather helm and setting it on his head "I'm just glad I had my med-bag along with me."

Jack nodded, "I didn't bring my inhaler with me to camp, I hadn't had any problems since I was like five. I guess I should've brought it."

"Thanks." Jack slipped the inhaler into his pocket, then began to move his staff around, freezing a flower on the nearby, snow covered shore.

"Smooth move Jack. Watch this though." Alex snapped his fingers and the flower Jack froze instantaneously thawed out. Alex's armor glowed and became his usual combat gear instead of his hunting clothes. "Well, this is much more comfortable." Jack smiled, noticing he has finally cracked Alex. "You are learning the ways of fun, my young grasshopper and why not have the master, me of course, to teach you?" Jack swung his staff around and created frost on a tree. He quickly slid over to the tree and drew a cartoon rabbit in the frost, swinging his staff lightly, the 2D image came from the frost, 3D, a radiant midnight blue color, shimmering like the stars as it hopped around Alex in the air.

Alex, who had devoted his years at camp to training was mystified by the frost he poked at it then he said "Try this on for size." Alex created a small snake made of sun fire and let it slither through the air, leaving a trail of steam in the air. "I find fun in fire."

Jack didn't dare touch the snake, he stared at in with a mixture of awe, shock, and fear. He actually had to take a step back from it, and while doing so, he made his rabbit disappear.

Alex broke concentration and the snake sizzled and disappeared. "Well, that was fun." he said

Jack nodded, "I guess so." Jack let the snow stop falling and he decided to let the lake thaw out on its own.
