Leo sat in front of the campfire, a smile on his face. Well, it wasn't a genuine Leo smile. He sat there awkwardly watching all the couples sing and cuddle with each other. He tinkered with some paper in his hands and ended up making an origami frog that hopped around when you pressed down on a flap on the back of it. He sighed, then tossed his creation into the growing flames. All he really wanted was someone to joke around with him and talk. He never liked being alone and this was no different.

Being a single guy, Alex had nothing to do, so after strumming some chords on his electric, he decided it was time for a walk to clear his head. As he reached the campfire he saw a male figure sitting alone. Alex figured he didn't want to be bothered so he quietly slipped into a nearby bush to hide and observe.

Leo continued to tinker around with things, creating little creations, but always ended up throwing them into the flames. Leo always felt kinda left out, he was like the third wheel to pretty much everything.

Still hidden, Alex picked up a small rock and threw it. It sailed through the air and skittered right past Leo and into the flames

Leo jumped as the rock made impact to the ground. He suddenly sensed a presence watching him and he turned around, surveying the area. People like Jason would say he was nuts, as per usual, but Leo SWORE there was someone or something watching him just then. "Hello?" he asked, hoping for a response.

Alex got up onto his feet, still hidden by the shadows he responded "Hello. Who are you?"

Leo observed the area around the campfire, trying to pinpoint the voice "I'm Leo Valdez, son of Hephaestus....who are you? Show yourself!" Leo rubbed a hand through his dark, greasy hair.

Alex thought he recognized the name and walked into the light of the campfire "What up broseph? I'm Alex, son of Apollo." He smiled and held his hand out for a handshake

Leo jumped slightly, but the impish grin returned to his face as he shook Alex's hand. He didn't recognize the name, but a new guy friend couldn't hurt.

Alex smiled, his elfish features showing. "Nice to meet you Leo, I have a friend back where I'm from who's one of your half-brothers. He's a pretty cool guy."

"Well," Leo smirked, "Us Hephaestus kids are pretty cool." Leo immediately felt stupid for saying such things, but he went with it and struck a dorky pose.

Leo observed the guitar and its mechanics carefully, a huge grin on his face. "That, is so cool. Of course, I could always tinker with some things and make it super cool!"
