"Always." - Severus Snape
Aravind was annoyed. She had been working on a fancy up-do for the Aphrodite-knows-how-many-th time, frowning as strand after strand flew away from the beautiful task. It was the fourth or fifth Friday already. Why didn't Alarik show? Where was her immeasurably handsome gentleman caller? Ouch.
A hair pin stuck itself under her perfectly manicured nails as she absent-mindedly reached for one. Tears stung at her eyes, and in her pent-up frustration, she hit the dresser's top rather hard with a clenched fist. Aravind started muttering profanities that weren't really profanities (but it started making her feel better that they were "no-no" words). Now the tears flowed freely down her face, and she wept for her sorry state.
"Why... won't he... come...?"

Meanwhile, Alarik had been at the flower shop in Athens 2.0. He walked out of the store holding an imense boquet of red roses matching the color of his hair. He walked over to a Fountain in the town and tossed a drachma into the crystal clear water and said, "Aravind Sarin." Soon enough Aravind's image started to apear, but Alarik jumped out of view of the message so his lovely date couldnt see him. "Hello, my dear lady. I am sorry to have kept you waiting, but i needed time to have everything set up perfectly, and everything is finally ready. Please, if you would not mind, wear something a bit formal, the first place we will be going to is dinner at a fairly fancy restaurant. I cant wait to be with you, my lady. I shall be at your door in exactly 20 minutes. Fairwell, my sweet flower." He said, the image flickering shortly after Alarik finished speaking.

She swung her head back and forth, trying to find the source of the voice. Not seeing Alarik, but hearing his melodious voice, Aravind wiped her tears away.
"How formal, dear sir?" She so desperately that the dress she had borrowed from one of Cen's half-sisters was enough...

Sadly, Alarik did not hear his sweet love's question for the message had already ended. Roses in hand, the son of Apollo boarded a beautiful bronze chariot with two automaton horses pulling it. Obviously this had cost him much as did this entire night to be put together just right. Most of what they would be doing he had to pay for from Aphrodite campers, Hephaestus campers, and Demeter campers, all the while paying them to keep quiet as well. But, he would pay any price for the heart of such a beautiful and caring young lass. Alarik took hold of the reins, and flicked them. The horses started off at a fast trot, and the red-haired demigod steered them towards camp, genuinely excited for tonight.

Sighing, Aravind pulled the dress on, the dazzling olive color complimenting her tan skin. She took her hair out of the aggravating curls, brushing it out until it shone. The young woman sadly sat on her bunk, staring off into her small garden. A fountain shone in the middle of it, and she cautiously made up her mind to call home for the first time in a few months. Aravind pulled a drachma out of one of her drawers, calmly tossing it into the misty water.
"Please, Iris- accept this offering. I wish to speak with my father, please." The mist cleared, and her father's face shone from the water. He and his sons were playing a game of Chatur-Anga (ancient Indian 4 person chess), looking like they were having a lot of fun. Aravind's eyes pricked with sadness; this was something she had seen many a time before, back when she was young. Damian and Amun were beating Pitā (father) for once. Surprise! He captured more of their pieces, winning the game. The young woman splashed the water away, ending the message just as they looked over at her watery form, laughter still on their grinning lips.
"This is too much... am I not missed?" Aravind bitterly wiped her tears away, golden bangles clanging gently. They were a present from Grandfather Raja, and they always amazed her with their quiet beauty. She began singing softly, words broken in her heavy breath.
"I see my vision burn, I feel my memories fade with time, but I'm too young to worry..."
Ahhh... Avenged Sevenfold. This would bring her back to normal before her long awaited date. Already, she felt her power returning...

It was not long before Alarik and his chariot reached the Campgrounds, and eventually the Demeter cabin. The red-head parked the chariot a bit out of the way of view of the cabin as to lead his lovely lady to it. The bronze was marvelously decorated with intricately depicted flowers and flowering plants of many different kinds. He wondered silently if Aravind might be able to name them all. He made his way to the door of the cabin, ran a hand through his hair, and straightened his blazer.
Alarik cleared his throat, held the roses behind his back, and knocked on the door with his free hand. He was wearing black pants, a dark navy blue blazer, a white button-down shirt, and a black neck tie. He hadn't really known weather to wear a black or blue tie at first, but he finally he made his choice and now he would have to live with it and hope his date approved. He had also opted to trade in his usual black leather gloves for white silk ones, to seem a bit more classy.

The young woman straightened herself up. Smoothing her dress, Aravind looked over herself one last time. Makeup had been fixed, and there was no evidence of tears. She had put on long ivory gloves that came up to her elbows, leaving enough skin showing that wasn't too much. Matching ivory-coloured Victorian boots clacked their way over to the door, hesitating to open the portal. Yet, she did. "Hello? Good evening, Sir Beck." A blush bepainted her cheeks, and she smiled shyly. (( I thought you might want to see what she's wearing... Alarik smiled brightly as the beautiful woman, who was to be his date tonight, opened the door. She looked absolutely stunning, and Alarik felt a small pang of genuine emotion in his cold self-centered heart, as well as an unfamiliar fluttering of nervousness in his stomach. Why did he feel like this? The red head had never felt this on any past dates no matter who he was with. Either way, the son of Apollo cleared his throat once more before speaking. He bowed low to the ground and said, "You, my sweet lass, look absolutely lovely," He straightened up again, and held out the bouquet of red roses to Aravind. "For you, my sweet. I'm sorry I kept you waiting, but hopefully before the night is through, you will find it in your heart to forgive a silly sod such as myself." Alarik said. ((they look amazinggg~~ love teh dress :3))

"Oh! They're so beautiful! I suppose I'll ask Ren to put them in a vase for me while I'm gone, as long as it's no trouble..." She was already rambling. Oops. "You look rather handsome yourself, my knight. One can never truly be late. Others are simply early... wait not for my forgiveness." She took the roses, handing them discreetly to one of her half-sisters (her name is Ivy, but that's not important now). Aravind blushed a little more, small smile still on her face.

Alarik chuckled lightly to himself over Aravind's ramblings, finding her to be both amusing and adorable. "Well, my dear lady, shall we be off? Your chariot awaits." The red head stated, offering his arm to the daughter of Demeter so as to lead her to the chariot like a gentleman. He couldn't wait to finally get this date started.

"We shall," she said, taking his arm. It was finally happening; the best night of her life. Her first date! What could be more perfect than Alarik leading her to a chariot that slowly came into view, making her ever so breathless? Roses, daylilies, lily of the valley, marigolds... even a cherry blossom... so many details had gone into it, she could only wonder what could be coming next.

As the two approached, Alarik wanted to make sure Aravind approved of the chariot he had paid quite a deal to have made. "So, my sweet, is the chariot to your liking?" He asked as he helped her board the magnificent creation.

"It... it's so beautiful..." she breathed, whispering in adoration. A child-like innocence overtook her, and in her mind, the genuses and familiae of the flora rhymed, bouncing like the even beats of a pegasus in flight. Aravind smiled as she was helped up, feeling like a princess about to be taken to a ball... only better. Her smile refused to fade, even when Alarik himself boarded, taking up the reins. She stood beside him as he directed the movements of the automatons, holding firmly and gently to his waist with one arm. If anyone, she thought, was lucky enough to land on a date with such a, well, demi-GOD... were they treated the same way? So much time and energy and resources... It was enough to make her head spin!

Alarik couldn't help but smile to himself, quite pleased with his work. He truly had been sorry about the long wait for this night, but it couldn't be helped. The chariot had to be completely made from scratch, and he had needed money for said brand-new chariot, as well as also putting together the rest of the evening. Once they reached their destination, the Scotsman quickly exited their mode of transportation and helped his lovely date to exit as well. they were in front of what appeared to be one of the most fancy and probably most expensive restaurants in Athens 2.0.

"It's glorious!" Aravind exclaimed as she was helped off the chariot by her lovely knight. Taking his arm, she let Alarik steer her into the restaraunt. It had a French neo-classical feel to it, dripping with luxury and beautiful lighting. Chandeliers of true crystal hung all about the room, but they were led to a lovely back patio bathed in moonlight. They were the only ones there; any other patrons were dining in the hall, a low murmur of chatter floating out the grand French doors. Ah, Aphrodite and her children definitely had a hand in this, she thought. If only Vin- Aravind stopped herself there. Alarik had begun to speak, and his voice charmed her so completely...
