The sun was fading fast causing Vienna Marie to become sick with worry, and it also made her more determined to escape. She just arrived at camp that morning and she was in total denial. She didn't know why her mom made her come here. She didn't think she belonged here. She came up at a creek. She was terrified of water, she would never go swimming or take baths. She could drink water, but she didn't like being in it. She heard leaves and twigs snap, her heart began to race. She was NOT going to get caught. She got a running start and jumped over the creek, rocks tumbling into the creek. Great, she was making more noise. She ran with an awkward gate, her massive pile of jet black curls trailed behind her. She was fast like the shadows, occasionally looking back to see if the someone was coming up behind her. She wasn't that graceful though, and after a few minutes of running, she tripped on a root and fell flat on her face. She then saw the shadow of another being and braced herself for the trouble she's going to be in.

Lance had been roaming the woods with his dog Brutus and friend Ej, when he heard the sound of a person hitting the dirt. Thinking fast he stepped into view with Ej and Brutus right behind him. When he saw a girl lying in the dirt, Ej asked "Hey there, What brings you out here?"

((ok I really apologize, like seriously I feel bad. I'm kinda new so I didn't understand that at all. Thank you for telling me. And yeah it's finished. I'm sorry D:)) Vienna Marie looked back to them and slowly kicked her way so her back was up against a tree. "I uh, was just doing t-things...." she said shyly and nervously. Why did she have to be so anti-social? "Why do you care anyway?!" she added, this time being quite defensive.

"Because you seemed tense ever since you got here." Aradel stated, walking out from behind the tree she was standing behind. She was worried about the new camper ever since she had gotten here, and followed her out into the woods at a safe distance. Her hand rested on the snake bracelet that twined around her wrist, she didn't trust these woods at all. The camp kept them stocked with monsters on a weekly bases, and it was definitely not safe for a newbie to wander off in. "You do know what lurks in this area, right?"

Vienna nervously shook her head. "N-no I don't.....but it's great for es-" she stopped herself. Why was she so stupid?! She looked up and stared off into the trees and mouthed "Why me??"

Aradel raised an eyebrow, wondering if this girl knew what was going on. She did just enroll that morning, after all. "You do know why you're here, at Camp Half Blood, right?" Aradel asked, then paused and added "The name's Aradel, by the way, Aradel Ellis daughter of Eris."

"No I have no idea why I'm here. My mom just dumped me off here," Vienna stood, dusting herself off. "I'm Vienna Marie James. Daughter of....Hades?" she didn't believe it, but I guess they did. She was just going to play along. You can't trust anyone. Well that's what she thought at least. She wasn't very tall so even if she tried looking intimidating to everyone around her, her shortness counteracted it.

"Think back to a time in your life that anything strange happened to you." Aradel said, glancing around the area. She clenched her bracelet a little harder. "There had to be a time, right? Someone strange standing near you, following you, perhaps? An attack of some sort?"

"Well...I has attacked by cyclopes, but I'm schizophrenic so my mind was telling me that's what they were," she guessed. Her stepfather was the reason for her denial. She was afraid to admit what was happening and what she did because she thought she would get hurt. She looked at her hands, her eyes widened, her nails were long, sharp, black claws. She quickly hid her hands into her pockets. Why'd she have to be related to Hades?

Believe it or not, there are Greek monsters lurking out there, which is why this is the safest place for us. Monsters trace our, as the Satyrs put it, scent. The more powerful parent you have, the stronger your scent is." Aradel stated. "It's happened time and time again that a demigod's teacher puts them on some sort of medication, or tells their mortal parent that they have something wrong with them. It's to suppress our quick reflexes, to make us vulnerable to their attacks. You'll be safest here, which is what Hades knows and what your mother knows."
There was a rustle behind Aradel. She whipped around and glared at the grounds, where a squirrel ran away.

"Hades doesn't care, he never did!" she blurted out. "If he cared, then why would he let my stepfather hurt me?! Why would he allow that?!" Vienna blurt out, tears now pouring down her cheeks. "Why???"

Aradel frowned, she knew what it felt like to be ignored by a parent, but abuse was another thing. "You can blame Zeus for that one. The gods have rules, laws saying what they can and can't do. He put a stop to any communication between demigods and their godly parent, because it would show favoritism and it would seem as though they were planning something with their demigod. A demigod can fight and defeat another god, which is why we are considered weapons. And why Zeus doesn't want the gods to speak with said weapons."

"Sorry for snapping...I'm not one for sharing my emotions in anyway. I guess it just came out," Vienna's voice was soft, almost like her walls fell down. She sighed, taking deep breaths.

"It's alright." Aradel stated. She glanced around. "Be careful about coming into the woods next time. They stock this place up with monsters frequently. For battle practices. Come on, let's get back to camp before one of them gets the jump on us."
