Percy smiled. It was nice to see how much love these two had for each other. It was almost like watching a family whose perfect. Without any weirdness. He glanced down and took out Riptide. He rolled the pen around in his hand, thoughtfully. 'I should keep trying to talk to her,' He thought. 'No matter how much she might push me away.' Percy kept rolling the pen in his hand thoughtfully until he somehow slipped away into a daydream.

"Oh, stop it you!" Haley giggled at Ej. She loved having siblings! Back in her mortal family, she was an only child, but at camp she had tons of siblings to love up! The only thing she didn't understand was that when people talked about her, they said she changes everyone she meets. I mean, she didn't think THAT highly of herself. To her, she was just a minuscule speck of dorkus floating around specks of genius and importance, but she never liked to talk about her feelings, and it gets to a point where it all just bubbles up inside. Suddenly, she began to look down at herself, pointing out all the little flaws she had and she began to compare herself to other female campers, pushing herself lower and lower in her mind. It also made her quite angry and frustrated with herself when it all just came out. Right in front of Ej, Percy, and everyone else in the area, the daughter of Hermes burst into tears.

Percy snapped back into reality when he realized that Haley was crying. He slumped into his seat then stood and walked over to her. He bent to her level and placed a hand on her shoulder. He looked over at Ej, who was rushing over to the two. "Hey... Haley. You okay?" He asked as sympathetically and calmly as he could.

"Haley!" Ej screamed rushing to his half-sister's side and wrapping his arms around her "It's alright, don't cry. Ej's here, just calm down." he said as he dried his half-sister's tears with his gloves

Haley may have seemed like the playful goof, but she had some deep underlying issues with her past and herself. "I-I'm fine, I'm just stupid!" she cried, more tears flowing down her now red cheeks. When Haley cried, it really tugged at people's heartstrings just because of how she looked when she cried, and also because she never really does cry, so when she does something is REALLY bothering her.

Ej had friends back home with this kind of problem, he sat down next to his half-sister and said "Haley, look at me. You're not stupid, you're awesome. I want you to tell me what's on your mind. Spare no detail."

Haley sniffled, sitting down beside Ej. She glanced up at Percy teary eyed and she whimpered. "When you said I was an awesome sister, it reminded of me about how I almost had a baby brother. He would've been two now, but while my mom was pregnant with him, a fire started in my house and I got my mom out, but the smoke she inhaled killed the child, and the smoke inhalation and a few other problems occurred to me as well," Haley admit, able to remove the very long, fiery orange curls from her head. Underneath were the same curls, only up to her ears. She was wearing a wig the whole time. The light caught the beginnings of a scar on her chest.

Ej put his arms back around his half-sister and rested her head against his bare chest. "That's terrible. Now I see why this is troubling you."

Percy drew the line there. "You ARE a hero. Even though I've just met you, I already count you as one! No amount of quests will make you a hero. You're made a hero by how you interact with people. Like.... With Adrianna for instance. You broke her shell. And her past is a dark one... I've never seen her smile ONCE here. And with Ej... You make him want to be around his family. OUR family. Everyone here at camp. Now... Are you done crying?" He asked calmly.

Haley hadn't cried in what seemed like ages, and she just needed to get out some emotion. "Y-yeah, I am..." Haley squeaked, rubbing a few more tears from her eyes.

Ej hugged his little half sister again and fetched his sword again. "That's awesome Haley, and just remember, you are and always will be a hero. And in my books the best little sister ever!" he said with the biggest smile he could muster

Ej walked back to where he put his sword and picked it up. In a flash it became his necklace again, and his armor glowed and became his regular clothes again.
